We headed to the airport last night because our flight was early and it’s just so much easier to stay at the Marriott at PHL. Before we left last night we had really bad thunderstorms but they cleared by about 6PM so they didn’t delay us too much.
We had a drink and some appetizers at the Marriott before heading to bed. The Marriott restaurant is absurdly expensive but it’s really the only place to eat outside of security.
We headed over to the airport this morning and tried the TSA touchless product for the first time. It has a separate line from normal precheck and there was 1 person ahead of us. It takes about 3 seconds to clear each person, they stand in front of a camera, then get waved through if they are recognized.
Our flight to Chicago was on time and quick and easy. Cody and Kasey are flying from Boston to Chicago where we will all meet and continue on together to Spokane.
We met in the admirals club for a longish layover but then had an uneventful flight to Spokane. All of the luggage arrived and we got our rental car. We drove the 90 minutes to Sandpoint and checked into our cute little Airbnb

The backyard has an old airstream converted to a sauna, a hot tub, a dining area and a fire pit. It’s half of a converted house, the other half is separated from us by a privacy fence and it is very private.

The inside has a lovely kitchen and eating area as well as a bedroom (where Cody and Kasey stayed) and bathroom downstairs and upstairs a cute little attic bedroom where Conrad and I stayed.

We had a pizza place next door so we ordered pizza and Cindy and Eric came into town from their place to have dinner with us.
It was a long travel day but we made it and we are happy with the little Airbnb that we rented.
We will do some exploring tomorrow.
