Super Bowl Sunday dawned as a pretty nice day. we even got a little bit of a sunrise from our porch.

Sunrise from the house
We didn’t have a lot to do today except the Super Bowl at night. We decided to go to a few birding areas. cody tagged along for the first one which was a large lake near the house. The area looked promising but the birds were all far across the lake on the other side. We made several attempts to get to a better spot including walking a trail but just never got to anything that was worth taking pictures of.
We dropped Cody back at the house and went to a different spot more towards the airport. It was a little preserve with a small blind where you could sit and watch the lake. When we arrived there was a young couple sitting having their morning coffee and so we didn’t stauy long however they pointed out a “Green Iguana” that was sunning itself on a ledge nearby. I tried to get a photo but it’s head was behind the leaves for me. They are considered a pest here and can grow to 5 feet long. When the get older they turn orange. This one was every bit of 5 feet.

Green Iguana
We headed back to the house for some lunch and spent the afternoon just relaxing by the pool and on the beach.
Around 5 we got out the snacks and settled in for the Super Bowl. We were sad with the outcome but had fun watching and hanging out together.
