We didn’t have any full family activities planned for the day so the kids mostly hung around the house on the beach or at the pool. It was a gorgeous day.
Conrad and I decided to go explore parts of the island that we hadn’t seen yet. We headed towards Georgetown and Seven Mile Beach and beyond. Seven mile beach had lots and lots of high rise condos and hotels at the beach so it was hard to even see the water. we parked in a parking lot and walked up to see it. The beach was white sand against turquoise water and pristine but quite narrow, maybe 10 feet of beach in the area where we stopped.
We ended up deciding to go to the turtle preserve at the far end of the island. When we arrived they were about to feed the nurse sharks so we went to see them, and then spent some time looking at the turtle areas. They had beautiful turtles of all sizes. It wasn’t the season for baby turtles so all of the turtles that we say were older but of varying sizes and colors.

We came back through Georgetown but it was very busy with a cruise ship in port, there was nowhere to park and cars could barely move so we decided not to stop. We had intended to eat lunch there but headed back to the North Side closer to the house to eat at a little restaurant on the water called over the edge. We sat in a covered but open area overlooking the water and it was beautiful. We had some good food and then headed back to the house.
Naps and lounging on the beach filled the rest of the day. We had some pasta for dinner and all headed off to bed realtively early.
