We woke up very early on Saturday morning before it was light out and decided to get up to catch a sunrise but it was pouring rain. The rain subsided quickly and cleared out the humidity. The clouds hung around a little bit longer but not all day.

Once we got up and had breakfast we called National car rental again since they had been closed the night before and we couldn’t pick up our cars. The local office still wasn’t answering but when I called the agency next door to see if they had any cars they said that they had seen the national person that morning and that they would be back. Our Taxi driver from the evening before Sharnelle had offered to come pick us up at the house and take us back into the airport near the rentals if we wanted to we called her and she arrived at 9 to shuttle us back in. Once we arrived at the rental facility the National person still wasn’t there and we started to call national reservations to see what they could do. The answer was nothing. At about 10 after 10 the door unlocked and the woman inside said that they usually don’t come in until their first reservation – ours was at 10. We got two cars and headed back to the house. It didn’t take Conrad and Conrad too long to get used to driving on the left side of the road. Converting the speed limit signs was a little but more complicated. The signs are in miles per hour but the spedometers are in kilometers per hour for some reason??
Once we got back to the house we set out to a grocery store to get more food stocked in. the prices are very high here because everything has to be flown onto the island.
After the groceries were unloaded we decided to take a ride over to Rum Point where our boat trip and luminescent Kayak trip would be later in the week. Cody and Kasey joined us. We stopped at the Kaibo Marina and had lunch outside by the water. We all had virgin tropical drinks of some sort and some very good lunches. The french fries were served in mini flower pots.
After lunch we checked on the Kayak spot and found that as well. we then headed back to the house for a lazy afternoon.

Conrad decided to use the snorkeling equipment to check out the snorkeling near the house, he found a wide variety of interesting fish very close to the house.

We noticed that the terns liked to sit on our dock so Cody got a few pictures.

Most of us sat out by the pool or ocean for the rest of the afternoon. We mixed in a few naps and everyone is on Island time.
We fired up the grill for dinner and made Hamburgers and BBQ chicken with a side of rice. Conrad experimented with some star pictures after it got dark and we called it a night.
