Last night we went to the top of a mountain above Dawson to take pictures and toast the midnight sun. It’s called the dome. The views were beautiful in every direction.
Someone built a little log bench so we got our pictures taken on it.
Conrad and Cody built a little stone structure on top of the Dome. These are called Inuksuit. Here’s a view of the one they built with the sun set in the background. The native people here as well as hikers use these to mark the way in case they get lost in a blizzard or fog.
And a few more sunset pictures. The sky was so colorful because of the wildfires that are burning around Dawson.
