This is our second trip to Skagway. The first trip we arrived in Skagway to meet our cruise ship, by taking the White Pass train from carcross down the mountains to Skagway. We had Cody and my Mom with us and by the time we got to Skagway and through customs and cruise check-in mom and I were too tired to go into town but Conrad W and Cody did go in and look around.
This time with just the two of us we decided to do a bike ride down the Klondike highway which paralleled the white pass train tracks in places. We had seen bikers from the train the last time.
We met our guides Justin and Ian just at the end of the pier where we docked and we went in a van up to the top of the Klondike Highway above Skagway. Both Justin and Ian were funny and were great guides. They got us fitted with bikes and helmets and Justin rode in the front and Ian in the back of the group. we were almost all downhill along the way and stopped every so often to look at the scenery and take pictures.

On the way back to the bike shop Ian talked about places around town that you could go if you wanted to rent a bike from the shop and keep driving around. One of the places was an old Gold Rush cemetery with a waterfall that wasn’t far out of town. We decided to rent bikes and head out there for a bit before we returned to the ship.
