Today we went to visit Rome and it’s surrounding areas. Since we’ve been to all of the big monuments before we decided to take a tour of some of the other areas of the city. We left the bus in an older residential section of Rome where we walked through some cobblestone streets until we found a small restaurant where we had a light lunch.
From there we walked to the Tiber river where we boarded a boat for a tour along the river.

After we got off the boat we walked to Piazza Navona where we saw the fountain of the 4 rivers as well as the Obelisk.

We walked to the Trevi Fountain and the to the Spanish Steps which were both crazy crowded.

Finally we walked through Republic Square on our way back to the bus.
It was a long day. We see the Amalfi Coast tomorrow after docking in Naples.
