Today was a completely at sea day spent in glacier Bay. We got up early and started to look for wildlife since we had seen a lot of whales the last time we were here at the head of Glacier Bay. This time we saw quite a few whales far in the distance but weren’t able to get photos of any of them. Eventually the otters started to float by – they seem not at all interested in the huge ships passing them, they lay on their backs and watch us go by. We also say seals and birds.

We went to Lamplugh, John’s Hopkins and Marjorie Glacier while we were there. Lamplugh was not as impressive as the other two. We stayed for quite a while at each Glacier so that all sides of the ship could take pictures

The pilot who had joined us at the mouth of glacier bay was picked up at the end of his day. They don’t even stop the ship they just pull up alongside and attache and get pulled along as he switches ships.
We had a lot of time on the ship today since we were at sea all day but spent time time working on our photos and checking work items so it seemed like out 5:30 dinner rolled around pretty quickly and when we got back it was almost time for bed.
